RESIDENTS in North East Lincolnshire have received a tonic from health chiefs and volunteers.
A website providing universal information and advice about anything to do with adult social care and health has been launched.
The site – www.Services4.me.uk – is being run by the Care Trust Plus (CTP) in partnership with the council and Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire.
It is designed for everyone living or working in North East Lincolnshire, whether they are using adult social care or healthcare services, pay for their own care or are a carer.
Professionals working in the health and care sector will also be using the website to source information and to signpost people to help and support that meets their needs.
And residents can download information leaflets and fact sheets about different health and social care-related topics, or visit national and local website links for further advice.
Soon, the site will start a second phase of development to offer many more facilities and resources, including a comments facility, a forum and events listings.
And an exciting new facility will offer people the opportunity to create their own shopping basket of services they are interested in, from the directory and buy these services online.
Chief officer of Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire Paula Grant said: "This will provide more opportunities for people to make contact with the many volunteer organisations in North East Lincolnshire and give them the chance to put their services on show."
Internet access is provided at the ten libraries in North East Lincolnshire and five council-run customer access centres.
