Stronger language testing for GPs


Doctors whose English is not up to scratch could be struck off amid fears that patients lives are at risk.

There have been calls for stronger language testing since the death of David Gray in Cambridgeshire in 2008.

Surgery moves forward following directors’ dispute

PATIENTS will be "at the heart" of everything the new lead GP and her staff at Grimsby's Ashwood do.

Dr Reeta Singh has bought out her former partner directors of Ashwood, which is based at Weelsby View Medical Centre, after a dispute arose between them.

As reported, Dr Singh had to temporarily leave Ashwood for one month when the issue with her partner directors – a doctor and two nurses – came to a head in July.
